What is known about “Admiral Levchenko”
- “Admiral Levchenko” – a large anti-submarine ship of Project 1155. It is known that it was originally called “Khabarovsk”, but a few months later its name was changed to its current name.
- It was launched in February 1985 . Three years later it entered service. In 1989, he became part of the Northern Fleet of the USSR.
- Already in the service of Russia, in 2010 he served a night of combat service in the fight against piracy in the Gulf of Aden. In 2014, it arrived in Sevastopol for repairs. He stayed there for less than a month, after which he left the bay.
- The last time the Admiral Levchenko was repaired was in 2021. It was noted then that in addition to gas turbine propulsion engines, cooling units and shut-off valves would be replaced. It was also planned to modernize the on-board electronics and fire-fighting equipment.
- It is known that Admiral Levchenko is armed with 2 four-container installations of Rastrub missile-torpedoes, 8 anti-aircraft missile launchers “Dagger” complex (64 missiles), 2 100-mm AK-100 artillery mounts, 4 six-barreled 30-mm AK-630 machine guns installed RBU-6000. In addition, there are 2 Ka-27 helicopters on board.
