During her performance, she was accompanied by a troupe of eight dancers with fans made of pink feathers.

At one point she continued her performance at the piano, but later joined the dancers.

— This is not the first time our paths have crossed. Zizi played the lead role in Cole Porter's musical Anything Goes, which was my first jazz release, — Gaga wrote in an Instagram post after the performance.

She added that although she is not French, she has always felt a special connection with the French people and French music.

According to the Associated Press, Gaga's appearance was a surprise — she was not listed in the program provided to the media in advance. However, the singer was previously seen in Paris, probably rehearsing for a performance near the Seine. It should be noted that Lady Gaga performed at the Olympic Games for the first time.

In addition to the singer's performance, 85 boats with Olympic athletes from each country will parade along the Seine at the Olympic opening ceremony.

Theater director Thomas Jolly has developed a grand opening show and brought together 3,500 actors, dancers and musical performers. For the first time in history, the opening ceremony takes place outside the stadium and showcases some iconic Parisian landmarks, in particular the Eiffel Tower.

As previously reported, Celine Dion is also expected to appear at the opening ceremony. This is expected to be the singer's first performance since she paused her touring schedule in December 2022 after being diagnosed with a terminal illness.
