Russia is spending a lot of resources on waging war in Ukraine, using a huge amount of ammunition, shells, etc. They need to be replenished, but Russia does not have the ability to independently produce such a quantity of equipment.

Such an opinion 24 channelswas voiced by the head of the Center for Military Legal Research, military expert Alexander Musienko. He stressed that Russia is trying to find a way out of the difficult situation due to sanctions in the manufacture of new ammunition and shells.

Russia has problems with chips

Musienko noted that due to the sanctions of Western countries, Russia has problems with semiconductors, that is, with chips. And they are necessary for high-precision weapons. But, for example, they cannot repair or produce the simplest armored personnel carriers and tanks. That is, without modern equipment equipment systems.

For example, without thermal imagers, without night vision devices that allow tanks to be used at night. Without aiming and laser guidance systems, which were supplied by France, because they no longer supply. That is, they can be the simplest, still based on old Soviet models, models,” Musienko noted.

He added that there are problems in everything related to modernization, high-precision weapons, the production of aircraft, ships, which will only deepen in the future.

Musienko also said that, in particular, the Kalashnikov concern, which produces not only machine guns, has problems with the production of drones. And no matter how the Russians brag about their “Cube” or “Lancet”, they are outdated.

“Recently, of those that were shot down or landed on the territory of Ukraine, it was found that the technologies they use are outdated and backward,” the expert emphasized.

Russians use dual-use technologies

The military expert said that the Russians are trying to meet their needs using the so-called dual-use technologies. That is, they take out chips, fillings from civilian devices that are still supplied to Russia, and install it on their equipment.

In addition, the Kremlin is actively trying to circumvent sanctions, trying to find the necessary equipment in China and India, but there are no positive answers at all.

Close the need for the military-industrial complex at the expense of private companies

Musienko also said that in Russia they want private companies to take over the military-industrial complex. They hope, in this way, to circumvent the sanctions, because they believe that these companies will be able to purchase chips or at least dual-use technologies.

“For currency, of course. And for this they will receive compensation in rubles. There is also a scam such a thing,” the military expert summed up.
