Without the approval of a new large-scale aid package for Ukraine in Congress, the US's options are diminishing every week.
US Presidential Adviser for National Security Affairs Jake Sullivan said this on Monday during a press briefing in Washington, Ukrinform reports.
“This is already affecting our ability to give Ukraine everything it needs. And this effect will only increase over time,” he said.
The administration of US President Joe Biden has sent a request for funding on issues related to Israel, Ukraine, the Indo-Pacific region, and border strengthening.

Sullivan said there remains a strong majority in both chambers to pass the US President's request.
“The national interests of the United States will suffer serious harm if we are unable to provide stable funding for Israel, Ukraine, the Indo-Pacific region and the border,” the national security adviser said.
He also warned Congress against leading to a government shutdown, which threatens the country after October 17. According to him, this could be a “crushing blow” primarily for the US military, which protects US national security interests.
Earlier, media reported that the United States government purchased 60 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns from Jordan to be sent to Ukraine.
