On September 12, 2024, the reconstruction of a section of the blue line of the Kyiv metro was completed. We are talking about construction work aimed at eliminating an emergency situation in the transfer tunnel between the Demiivska and Lybidska stations.
What lines does the Kiev metro consist of?
The Kiev metro consists of three main lines: Svyatoshinsko-Brovarska, Obolonsko-Teremkivska and Syretsko-Pecherska. You can see their stations in full on the map below.

Where can I change to another metro line in Kyiv
Each metro line has a station for transfer to another line. Transfers are possible between stations:
- Theatre – Golden Gate;
- Sports Palace – Leo Tolstoy Square;
- Maidan Nezalezhnosti – Khreshchatyk.
The operating hours of the Kyiv metro vary from station to station, but they generally open at 6:00 and close at 23:00. The blue line of the metro starts running at 5:30 in the morning.
