The Washington Post published a material talking about supposedly possible negotiations between Kiev and Moscow in Qatar on stopping attacks on energy facilities on both sides. Among the countries of the world, there really are many who want to be mediators between Ukraine and Russia.

Why Qatar wanted to organize negotiations

According to the chief consultant, the Middle East countries are trying to raise their value in global politics, Qatar is no exception. After the publication of the material in The Washington Post, they called him with a request to give an interview regarding Ukraine's plans.

This was the first call since October 2023. The issue of Ukraine after the escalation in the Middle East moved to the background, and now, precisely because of Kursk, it has become number one on the agenda, – noted Us.

The chief consultant noted that it is important to remember that Russia, no matter what agreements it signs, has only one thing in mind – the destruction of Ukraine. If you look at Russian bloggers, read what Russians write on social networks, it is clearly visible there that they perceive peace talks strictly through the prism of the capitulation of our state.

The situation in the Kursk region is a reminder that war has two sides. If Russia wants to seize certain territories of Ukraine, then our country, theoretically, can seize something from the aggressor country. The events in Kursk did not push away, but on the contrary brought peace talks closer, noted Us.

The Kursk operation showed Russia that returning to the 1991 borders is not the worst option for it. It is precisely this understanding by the aggressor country that will facilitate negotiations in the future.
