Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, who is in Guangzhou (PRC) on July 24, held talks with the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Wang Yi,in particular regarding ways to stop Russian aggression and the possible role of the Chinese side in achieving peace.
Kuleba’s visit to China: main topics of negotiations
— I am convinced that a just peace in Ukraine meets China's strategic interests, and China's role as a global force in the world is important, — noted Kuleba during a meeting with Wang I.
The diplomat spoke about the results of the Peace Summit in Switzerland and explained the logic of further steps in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula as a path to a just end to Russian aggression.

Kuleba noted that Ukraine’s position is its readiness to conduct a negotiation process with the Russian Federation at a certain stage, when it is ready to negotiate in good faith, while noting that such readiness has not yet been observed.
The parties also exchanged views on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations “through the prism of Ukraine’s future membership in the EU and China’s relations with Europe”.
How China sees the end of the war in Ukraine
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, at a meeting with Dmitry Kuleba in Guangzhou, said that the “resolution of all conflicts must ultimately take place at the negotiating table”.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Wang Yi emphasized China's strong commitment to promoting a political solution to the crisis.
According to him, recently both Ukraine and Russia have sent, to varying degrees, signals of readiness for negotiations.
— Although the conditions and time are not yet ripe, we support all efforts that promote peace and are ready to continue to play a constructive role in the ceasefire and restoration of peace negotiations, — he emphasized.
