Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba went on a working visit to Bulgaria. There he is scheduled to meet with the leadership of the country.
The reason for his visit to Sofia Kuleba called “the search for steps to achieve peace in Ukraine.” It is for this purpose that the diplomat intends to meet with the leadership of Bulgaria.
“Bulgaria is our friend and partner in the EU and at the bilateral level. We also feel the support of the people of Bulgaria at this critical time,” Kuleba said.

It is worth adding that Kuleba very often says that his main task now is to negotiate the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Including from NATO countries.
Bulgaria has not yet supplied weapons to Ukraine. Bulgarian Defense Minister Dragomir Zakov said that due to poor military capabilities, the country will not send weapons to Ukraine and will focus on strengthening its own army.
There are also problems at the political level. The pro-Russian Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has warned that it will withdraw from the ruling coalition if the Bulgarian parliament decides to provide weapons to Ukraine. This will mean that the government will lose its majority in parliament and will probably fall apart.
At the same time, Bulgaria has many types of weapons that Ukraine also uses. Including MiG-29 aircraft. Bulgaria plans to replace them with American F-16s. However, the country will not receive new aircraft soon.
