Kremlin expects 'realization' from Ukraine ; occupation

Dmitry Peskov/Russian media

The Russian political leadership expects Ukraine to “accept” the current situation . The Kremlin obviously and cynically hinted that they want Kyiv to make territorial concessions.

Putin's press secretary did not dare to call a spade a spade

Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, answered propagandists' questions during the briefing about what concessions Moscow expects from Ukraine.

In response, Peskov said that Russia expects Ukraine to accept its demands and “realize current situation”.

At the same time, Putin's spokesman did not dare to call a spade a spade. When asked for clarification whether it was about territorial concessions, he muttered something that “these are not territorial concessions,” and Kyiv allegedly needs to recognize the de facto situation and “just assess it sensibly.”

Russia continues to issue ultimatums to Ukraine

  • Peskov's rhetoric once again confirmed what was said in the Office of the President of Ukraine. In particular, in Kyiv they decided to suspend peace talks, since Russia puts ultimatums, threatens and does not want to realize the real state of affairs.
  • President Volodymyr Zelensky also noted that negotiations will only be possible when Kyiv understands that Moscow will demonstrate a desire to move to diplomacy.
  • In addition, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Putin does not understand that Ukraine will not make concessions , including territorial ones. The head of state assured that Ukraine would fight with Russia until it regained its territories.
  • The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Major General Kirill Budanov, also warned Russia that Ukraine would fight until all Russian troops were expelled. According to him, until August Ukraine will receive sufficient weapons that will be important to change the situation on the front.
  • One should not forget the price Russia is paying for the war with Ukraine. The death toll of the Russian military is steadily approaching the mark of 30,000. In addition, the Russian economy is under furious pressure due to Western sanctions.
  • Sanctions have a direct impact on the Russian military-industrial complex, which already uses 60% of precision weapons. Against the backdrop of restrictions, it will be difficult for Moscow to restore resources.
