Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky was informed of a new suspicion for the illegal seizure of 5.8 billion UAH during 2013-2014.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security and the Office of the Prosecutor General, Kolomoisky created a group that consisted of employees of the bank, where he was the founder and shareholder.
During 2013-2014, members of this group allowed Kolomoisky to allegedly make systematic fictitious cash contributions to the bank’s cash desk, although in fact no contributions the bank did not receive it.

Then these “contributions” were credited to Kolomoisky’s personal account, becoming real non-cash funds. According to investigators, thanks to this, the oligarch received UAH 5.8 billion, which was then equivalent to more than $700 million.
Kolomoisky used these funds for business activities in order to legalize virtual assets. In particular. he gave out loans, used them to pay for the loans of enterprises under his control, transferred them abroad, cashed them out and withdrew them at bank branches.

According to the SBU, he was informed of additional suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- h. 3 tbsp. 27, part 3 art. 28, part 2 art. 200 (Illegal actions with transfer documents, payment cards and other means of access to bank accounts, electronic money, equipment for their production);
- ch. 3 tbsp. 27, part 5 art. 191 (Takeover of someone else's property by an official abusing his official position, committed by an organized group, on an especially large scale);
- ch. 3 tbsp. 27, part 3 art. 209 (Legalization of proceeds from crime).
The necessary actions are now being taken to establish all the circumstances of illegal activities and bring the perpetrators to justice. The pre-trial investigation continues.
