Klitschko: One of the main topics of the World Economic Forum in Davos – Ukraine

Vitali Klitschko took part in the opening of the World Economic Forum in Davos

On May 23, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko took part in the opening of the World Economic Forum in Davos and met with Ukrainian refugees in Switzerland.

He announced this on his pages in social networks. Klitschko said that one of the main topics of the forum is Ukraine, Channel 24 reports.

“The fate of Ukraine is being decided by Ukrainians who are heroically fighting today for their land and their freedom. But we need the support and help of partners. Tougher sanctions against the Russian aggressor. Increased arms supplies. Russia must feel that it will lose not only its tanks and most of the army. Russia will remain an exile and bankrupt! We talked about this with Vladimir during an OpenForum discussion on overcoming the consequences of a large-scale Russian invasion by Ukraine and Kyiv,” Vitali Klitschko said.

He also met and talked in Davos City Hall with refugees temporarily residing in Switzerland.

These are mostly women with children from Kyiv and the region, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and other regions of Ukraine. They all want to go home. Everyone is interested in when we will win and it will be possible to return to our native cities. Ukrainians were also interested in what is happening at the World Economic Forum and what kind of support for our country the leaders of states and world business are discussing and promising,” Klitschko said.

In the coming days, Klitschko intends to meet with American and European politicians, representatives of major business.

“We will explain that Russia is committing genocide against the Ukrainian people, attracting help. In particular, for the restoration of Kyiv and Ukraine after the Russian barbarians,” the mayor of the Ukrainian capital said.
