Russian invaders are trying to move forward in the Donetsk region. To do this, they will transfer additional forces there.
Russian invaders have significantly increased the number of their army in the Donetsk region. This information was confirmed by the head of the Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko, on the air of the United News telethon, Channel 24 reports.
According to him, there are many battalion tactical groups of the enemy. But Pavel Kirilenko did not announce the exact number.
“The number of battalion tactical groups has been brought to a fairly significant figure. I cannot say whether this is the maximum, but this is a very significant accumulation. It will not be correct if I call this figure The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will inform about the results when these armored personnel carriers are destroyed,” Pavel Kirilenko explained.
At the same time, the head of the Donetsk OVA named the places where the largest concentration of Russian occupation troops. This is on the Bakhmut and Seversk directions, in the direction of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. As well as the Limansky direction and towards the settlement of Dolina.
“The entire front line is under constant shelling. And attempts to break through the enemy are used daily. But there are no successes. And the enemy retreats to its previous positions. At the same time, having suffered losses as both in manpower and in armored vehicles,” said Pavel Kirilenko.
Attempts to seize the Kyiv-Kharkov-Dovzhansky highway
Pavel Kirilenko also commented on the British intelligence report that the Kuptants were trying to take control over part of the E40 highway. In Ukraine, it goes through the highway M03 Kyiv – Kharkov – Dovzhansky. They needed a section of the road from Kharkov through Slavyansk and Bakhmut.
According to him, the occupiers repeatedly made attempts to seize this route. The first attempt was recorded on April 18.
This is a straight repaired road. And it would be much easier and faster for them to move forward like that. But they failed to do so.
