Russian troops may begin active offensive operations in the coming months. Ukraine must be ready to repel all attacks.
This was stated by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak in an interview with Politico.
New wave of mobilization in Russia
— We know that Putin is preparing a new wave of mobilization. We believe that new Russian counteroffensive operations could begin in late May or early June. Of course, we must be prepared for this, — emphasized Ermak.
The head of the Presidential Office connects Russian plans with the intensification of air attacks in recent weeks, which hit Ukrainian energy facilities.

Andrey Ermak believes these strikes may be part of a campaign that aims to weaken Ukraine with a new and larger Russian offensive.
Which cities are under threat
The most likely direction of attack by the invaders may be Kharkov, which has recently been especially heavily attacked by missiles, drones and guided bombs. As a result of the attacks, heating plants and transformer substations were destroyed there.
According to Ermak, modernization and increasing the range of Russian KABs cause great harm even on the front line.
This is why Ukraine needs more air defense systems, in particular Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and missiles for them, otherwise it will be impossible to protect cities without them, says Andrey Ermak.
He added that Ukraine has less and less time to prepare for a Russian offensive, so the state is counting on approval of assistance in the US Congress, around which discussions have been ongoing since the fall of 2023.
