As noted by the university, the causes of the plane crash, in which resulted in the death of a first-year cadet during a training flight on a K-10 Swift aircraft, is currently being determined.

Investigators, subject matter experts, and specialists from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are working at the scene of the accident.
— The university administration is fully cooperating with the investigation. We express our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. This is a painful and irreparable loss for all of us, — the university said in a statement.
At the same time, Kharkiv National University does not specify where exactly the plane crash occurred.
