Khamenei declared “victory” over the US and the near “collapse” of Israel

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people on their victory over Israel after 12 days of confrontation and also declared victory over the United States.

He said this in an address published on his page on the social network X (Twitter).

Ayatollah congratulates Iranians on victory over Israel and US

“I congratulate you on your victory over the deceitful Zionist regime. I congratulate our dear Iran on its victory over the US regime. The US regime entered the war directly because it believed that otherwise the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. It entered the war trying to save this regime, but it achieved nothing,” Khamenei said.

He also said the Islamic Republic had “dealt a heavy blow” to the United States, saying Iran had damaged it with its attack on the Al Udeid air base.

In the address, the Ayatollah also stated that “the Zionist regime has almost collapsed and been destroyed under the blows of the Islamic Republic.”

On the eve of June 25, the Iranian government issued a statement in which it also announced the capitulation of the “Zionist regime.”

On June 24, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the nation and declared an end to the 12-day war allegedly imposed by Israel.

It should be noted that Iran, in addition to the term “Zionist regime,” also uses the term “little Satan” in relation to Israel, and “great Satan” in relation to the United States. These statements reflect the official position of the Tehran regime, which considers both countries to be the main opponents of the Islamic Republic.

This rhetoric emerged after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and is a means of political and ideological struggle, emphasizing hostile relations with Tel Aviv and Washington.
