“Both presidents understand the pain of losing young people in peace and war. Empathy is a key component of leadership,” Kellogg added.
Zelensky's conversation with Trump
Let us recall that on July 4, Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, during which the parties discussed Russian air strikes and the situation at the front.
As Axios reported, the bulk of the 40-minute conversation focused on Ukraine's need for air defense systems, including the possibility of transferring Patriot missiles.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine is ready for direct projects with the United States and considers them extremely important for strengthening security, primarily in the area of drones and modern technologies.
