On October 11, the Russian military tried to attack the Khmelnitsky region with a kamikaze drone. The enemy aircraft was shot down by the air defense forces.
Head of the Khmelnytsky OVA Serhiy Gamaly on the morning of October 11 reported the downing of an Iranian drone. According to him, Shahed-136, which Russia is using against Ukraine, was shot down.
The enemy is massively attacking Ukraine with drones
In addition, Sergei Gamaly informed that air defense was operating in the Khmelnytsky region. It is precisely with the work of air defense that the sounds of explosions heard by the inhabitants of the Khmelnytsky region are connected.
It is worth noting that Russia is attacking different regions of Ukraine with Iranian-made drones. In particular, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that late at night the occupiers tried to attack Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.
However, all 8 enemy drones were shot down – 5 in the Nikolaev region and 3 in the Odessa region. This information was confirmed by the head of the Odessa OVA Maxim Marchenko, who said that air defense was operating in the Odessa region during the morning air raid.
The head of the Nikolaev OVA, Vitaly Kim, also said that air defense systems had worked in the region. “From the preliminary launch of the air defense, the Armed Forces of Ukraine worked for the top five (Odessa/Nikolaev),” Vitaly Kim wrote.
On October 11, the Russian military attacked the Vinnitsa region with kamikaze drones for the first time. The invaders attacked Ladyzhynska thermal power plant in Vinnytsia region with Iranian drones.
Air raid continues in Ukraine
- On the morning of October 11, an air raid alert was announced throughout Ukraine. The State Emergency Service warned of a high probability of missile strikes against Ukraine.
- At about 9:30, information appeared about explosions in Krivoy Rog and Rivne. In addition, the sounds of explosions are heard in the Kyiv region. According to preliminary information, air defense is operating in the Kyiv region.
- The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA, Svetlana Onishchuk, said that there is a threat of a strike on the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
