The second racket of Ukraine Angelina Kalinina won the Heart Award for her performances for the national team at the Billie Jean King Cup.

She received the most votes from fans, ahead of Slovakian Victoria Grunčakova, British Katie Boulter and Mexican Fernanda Contreras Gomez, who also competed for this award.
Voting among fans continued throughout the week on social networks of the team tournament.

Thanks to this victory, Kalinina will receive a cash check and will be able to use the funds for charitable purposes at her discretion.

This is the second victory in this category for Ukrainian tennis players. This award was first won in 2016 by Ekaterina Volodko (Bondarenko).
Why the Heart Award is given
This award is given to female tennis players who have represented their country with distinction, demonstrated exceptional courage on the court and outstanding dedication to the team.
In November, the Ukrainian women's tennis team defeated the Netherlands in the playoffs of the Billie Jean King Cup. Based on the results of four matches played, the Ukrainians won with a score of 3:1. For Kalinina, this was her debut performance for the national team.
