Russian opposition politician Gennady Gudkov told 24 Channel that a total dictatorship and a cult of personality reigns in Chechnya now. Chechens hate Kadyrov.

Putin's difficulties

Gudkov believes that the problem of maintaining Putin's power in Chechnya can be caused not by Kadyrov's resignation, but by the presence of an internal typo system.

He emphasized that it’s not even about the self-proclaimed leader of Chechnya; if Putin needs to replace him, he will do it. The question arises whether the Kremlin will be able to come to an agreement with the people whom Kadyrov brought to power.

Kadyrov’s resignation, according to Gudkov, will not change anything, because disagreements between types will continue, because each has its own armed unit and bribed security forces. The change of power will be painful for Chechnya.
