Putin’s henchman from the Chechen Republic said he had assembled an elite detachment of militants that he could send to Ukraine. However, later it turned out that Ramzan Kadyrov left them all in Chechnya.

This was reported by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) on July 22. However, Kadyrov himself also explained this “logically”. It should be noted that those Kadyrovites who have already been sent to Ukraine periodically clash with the Russians.

How Kadyrov changed his mind about sending a battalion

First, materials appeared in the propaganda media that the new Kadirov party was already ready to be sent to the war in Ukraine. However, later a representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense came to the territory of Chechnya and everything changed.

We are talking about the West-Akhmat battalion. Now he will simply be based on the territory of Russia in order to “fulfill his duty to his homeland” there. The reasons for this decision were not named.

First of all, in these units, servicemen will study military affairs, train, develop endurance, improve physics and increase their readiness,” Kadyrov said.

Political scientist explains Kadyrov’s behavior

On July 22, Russian political scientist and Putin’s former speechwriter Abbas Gallyamov explained why Kadyrov is not exactly who he claims to be. The expert believes that now the leader of the Chechen army purposefully does not use most of his military forces in the war.

They say that he keeps the military and is preparing for the collapse of the Putin regime. Then a large number of subdivisions will make it possible to demand greater independence from the Kremlin than the controlled republic now has.
