Strike on Kharkov
On Tuesday morning, Russia again attacked Kharkov with aerial bombs, resulting in at least one loss of life and nine wounded.
Chairman of the Kharkov Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, after the explosions in Kharkov, announced that the Russian Federation had struck Kholodnogorsk and Kyiv districts of the city with KABami.
According to him, there were hits on civilian infrastructure, strikes were recorded near the park area.
As the mayor of the city of Kharkov Igor Terekhov reported, the city was also hit with rockets.
— In the morning, two missiles hit the central part of Kharkov — This is Kyiv district. The hit was in a garage cooperative — more than 50 garages and cars are broken. The second hit was in the Kholodnogorsk region. There is one death, 9 people were injured of varying degrees of severity, — he said on air at the United News telethon.
According to him, not a single object hit by the enemy is military.

Strike on Odessa on April 29: new details
On Tuesday, April 30, details of Russia’s attack on Odessa became known. As it became known, the enemy hit the city with a ballistic missile with a cluster munition, resulting in deaths and injuries.
Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin on his Facebook page published video evidence of another war crime of the Russian Federation.
— Russia cynically disregards all norms of international humanitarian law. Yesterday evening the enemy insidiously attacked Odessa. Five people died and more than 30 were injured. Among the victims — two children and a pregnant woman. Five wounded are in critical condition, — he said.
Kostin recalled that the Iskander ballistic missile with cluster submunitions is an indiscriminate weapon, so such use could lead to significant civilian casualties.

Russia hits Ukraine with missiles from North Korea — UN
United Nations (UN) observers have found confirmation that Russia used North Korean missiles to attack Ukrainian territory.
The UN examined the wreckage of a missile launched from the territory of the Russian Federation on January 2, writes Reuters with reference to the report of a Security Council committee.
According to experts, the fragments of the rocket that fell in Kharkov on January 2, 2024 belong to the North Korean Hwasong-11 ballistic missile.
According to the report, UN observers found no evidence that the missile was produced in Russia. At the same time, they were unable to independently determine where the rocket was launched from and by whom.
— Trajectory information provided by Ukrainian authorities indicates that the launch took place from the territory of the Russian Federation. This arrangement, if the missile were under the control of Russian forces, would likely mean purchase by Russian citizens, — says the report.
The imposed sanctions prohibit the import and export of military technology to the DPRK, so Russia violated the UN embargo.
Ukraine will not forcibly return men from abroad
Ukraine will not forcibly return men of military age from abroad, said Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna, commenting on the issue of stopping the provision of consular services abroad.
She assured that providing her data to TCC and SP does not mean automatic mobilization to the front.
— Ukraine has adopted a law on mobilization and we must understand to what extent we can replace guys at the front. We are talking about the potential for mobilization — accounting and information. And this is the primary goal of our decision, — said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Latvia announced a new aid package for Ukraine
The Latvian authorities announced that they will transfer a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. This will include NBS anti-aircraft guns (presumably Mantis) and tactical unmanned surveillance systems.
Prime Minister of the country Evika Silina announced this on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
She said this would help Ukraine improve both its air defense and intelligence capabilities.
— With every delivery we show our support to the people of Ukraine in the fight against Russia, which is the biggest threat to peace and security in the world. Latvia allocates 0.25% of its GDP per year to military aid to Ukraine. We will continue to support Ukraine both bilaterally and together with our allies, — she wrote.
Assault on the island of Nestriga by the occupiers
The occupiers are tirelessly storming the island of Nestriga, which was recently deoccupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said Dmitry Pletenchuk, head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Southern Defense Forces.
— This morning they have already carried out two assaults on Nestriga, and both were unsuccessful. They retreated with losses without success. This is the last island from Veletensky — this is a district of the village Veletenskoye and Kizomys, not far from them. In fact, this is the last island before the mouth of the river, — said Pletenchuk.
According to him, it is important for Ukraine to protect this territory from possible attacks by invaders and noted that previously saboteurs could enter there. They installed mortars to shell populated areas in the Kherson region.
Purchase of drones by Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to allocate additional funds that will be used for the purchase of drones. We are talking about an amount of 15.5 billion UAH, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal following a government meeting.
For the allocated funds, the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine will receive about 300 thousand drones, says the Prime Minister.
According to him, this is an additional resource to the 43.3 billion UAH that the Ukrainian government has already allocated for drones this year.
The funds will be sent to the Administration of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, which is engaged in relevant procurement, explained Denis Shmygal.
