The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to liberate the lands occupied by Russia. In particular, the de-occupation of the Kharkiv region is gradually but successfully going on.
Anna Chernenko, a Channel 24 correspondent from Kharkiv, spoke about this. There are fewer and fewer settlements controlled by Russian invaders in the region.
As of today, less than 2% of the territory of the Kharkiv region remains under occupation.
More the day before yesterday, 2% of Kharkiv region was occupied. Now a little more than 1.5%. We are talking about about 35 settlements that are still under Russian occupation,” Chernenko said.
Invaders try to advance on the border with Kharkiv region
At the same time, it is very difficult for Russians to realize their defeat. The Russian occupiers do not calm down on the borders of the Kharkiv region.
Over the past day, there was at least one attempt to attack the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Ternova, which is part of the Lipetsk community. However, the Ukrainian military successfully repulsed the offensive, – the journalist noted.
The invaders, having received “nuts” from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, withdrew to their positions. At the same time, not all Russians returned – during an unsuccessful offensive attempt, the invaders suffered losses.

Deoccupation of Ukrainian lands: the main thing
- The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues. Since its beginning, Ukrainian defenders have already liberated more than 600 towns and villages. We are talking about 551 settlements in the Kharkiv region and 88 in the Kherson region.
- Restoration work continues in the de-occupied areas of these regions. First of all, they are repairing the critical infrastructure of cities and villages that have emerged from enemy occupation.
- Mine clearance continues in the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv region. Authorities emphasize that it is still dangerous there. There are places where the Russians laid mines every half a meter.
- Under pressure from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians are preparing for defense in occupied Kherson. The city has already left a significant part of the population. The remaining Russian military men change into civilian clothes and move into abandoned houses. Thus, infidels are preparing Kherson for street fighting.
- At the same time, the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has slowed down in the Luhansk region. Ivan Stupak, a former SBU officer and expert at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, said that our military is now focusing on finding “weak spots” in the invaders' defense.
