Media representatives will again be able to visit the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada to cover the work of parliament during meetings. This will happen in the same way as during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This was announced during a round table on the topic of access for journalists to the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada and the restoration of online broadcasts of parliamentary sessions, said the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus Vyacheslav Shtuchny.
— We are returning to the practices we had during the Covid pandemic. During a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, 20-30 media representatives will be able to be in the building. Journalists have already submitted applications for accreditation. We are ready for additional accreditation. After Easter we will gather journalists for instruction during their stay in parliament, — he said.

— There are risks that are confirmed monthly by relevant letters from the intelligence services, — Stefanchuk said.
In this regard, according to the representative of the State Security Department Valentina Savitskaya, it will be necessary to properly verify those media representatives who will be allowed into the building of the Verkhovna Rada.
— Previously, more than 4 thousand journalists had accreditation in the Verkhovna Rada, — she added.
In particular, Stafanchuk noted that it is necessary to form a pool of journalists who set high reputational demands on themselves.
The head of the press service of the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Pastushenko, recalled that “over the past two years, a temporary press center has been operating, where people’s deputies are constantly given the opportunity to communicate with journalists”.
