Belarus and Russia continue to cooperate. On January 31, they started a new joint staff training.
Thus, in Belarus, a joint staff training of the joint command of the regional group of forces begins. This was stated by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic, informs Channel 24.
What is known about the new training of Belarus and Russia
As noted in the department, the Belarusian and Russian armies will work out the issue of “joint planning of the use of troops based on the experience of armed conflicts of recent years” during the week.
The topic of staff training is “decision on the use of a regional grouping of troops in favor of ensuring the military security of the allied state”.
The complex of joint operational training measures is aimed at increasing the compatibility of the military command and control bodies of the two states and is the next stage of preparation for the joint operational training “Union Shield – 2023”, which will be held in Russia in September 2023, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
Russian and Belarusian exercises: latest news
- The day before it became known that the invaders again transferred their units to Belarus for training. Meanwhile, some of the military who have already completed the exercises and returned to Russia, from where they will be transferred to the occupied territories of Ukraine, where the fighting is taking place.
- In December, a surprise check of the troops was launched in Belarus on Lukashenka's orders. 2 tank companies of the 7th separate tank battalion were involved in the check.
