Boris Johnson wrote an open letter to Ukrainian children. The British Prime Minister assured that they are not alone, and Ukraine will definitely win the war with Russia.

In the letter, Johnson mentioned his trip to Kyiv in April to meet with Vladimir Zelensky. He asked the children to always remember two things.

“Be proud of yourself”

First of all, the head of the British government urged children to be immensely proud of their country, parents, soldiers, but most of all – themselves. He noted that many of them have already seen or experienced something that no child should be a witness to.

Every day, Ukrainian children teach us all what it means to be strong and worthy, hold your head high even in the most difficult times. I can't think of a better role model for children and adults around the world,” the prime minister said.

“You are not alone”

Johnson also assured Ukrainian children that they were not alone. Someone may have had to divorce their friends, but every child already has millions of people around the world who will come to the rescue if needed.

According to the prime minister, Ukrainian flags are hung over the homes, offices, churches, shops and playgrounds to show support for Ukraine.

Even above my roof in Downing Street, where the windows are filled with sunflowers painted by British children. Our young people draw your banner in their classes and make blue and yellow bracelets in support of your country,” Johnson wrote.

Also in the letter, the prime minister emphasized that Ukraine would definitely win the war with Russia. The politician assured that Ukrainians will never be forgotten in the UK and will always be proud that they can call them their friends.

“I hope with all my heart that soon you will be able to return to your homes, to your schools to their families,” the British prime minister added.
