AFU soldiers destroyed enemy Infantry fighting vehicles, drones and artillery systems/Collage 24 channels
The Ukrainian military continues to inflict crushing losses on the Russian occupiers. In particular, on May 29, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks and destroyed a bunch of invaders' equipment.
AFU soldiers continue to fight the invaders in the Donetsk and Lugansk directions. The Joint Forces spoke about the situation at the front as of May 29.
Russians continue shelling Ukrainian cities
Along the entire defense zone, the Russians use combat aircraft, multiple launch rocket systems, large-caliber cannon artillery, tanks and mortars of various systems. In addition, they carry out missile and bomb attacks on civilian infrastructure, in particular peaceful residential areas.
On May 29, the invaders shelled 46 settlements in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, destroying and damaging 62 civilian objects:
- 59 residential buildings,
- electric substation,
- house of culture.
As a result of enemy shelling, at least 3 civilians were killed and 2 more were injured in Pokrovsky and Bakhmutsky districts of Donetsk region alone. The data for the rest of the districts is still being specified.
Ukrainian soldiers destroyed an enemy helicopter, infantry fighting vehicles and other equipment
Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in a day. Fighting continues at three more locations. Our fighters continue to inflict damage on the invaders in terms of manpower and equipment. In particular, on May 29 they destroyed:
- 2 artillery systems;
- 11 armored vehicles;
- 10 enemy vehicles.
In addition, air defense units in the sky of the Ukrainian Donbass shot down 2 Kh-59MK cruise missiles and 3 Kub-type high-precision unmanned aerial vehicles.
In total this week, the military personnel of the Joint Forces repelled 76 enemy attacks. They also destroyed:
- 22 tanks,
- 1 unit of special equipment,
- 17 artillery systems,
- 67 combat armored vehicles,
- 1 special armored vehicle;
- 28 vehicles (one of them with ammunition).
Also, air defense units shot down an enemy multipurpose K-52 helicopter, 3 cruise missiles and 25 infidel drones.
General Russia's losses since the beginning of the war
Ukrainian defenders have been courageously fighting the Russian invaders for 95 days already. In total, since the beginning of a full-scale war, they have eliminated 30.15 thousand enemy soldiers.
However, these are only rough estimates, because in fact the real losses of the Russians may be greater. Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already destroyed a lot of equipment of the invaders:
- 1338 tanks;
- 3270 armored combat vehicles;
- 631 artillery system;
- 203 multiple launch rocket systems;
- 93 air defense systems;
- 207 aircraft;
- 174 helicopters;
- 504 operational drones; tactical level;
- 116 cruise missiles;
- 13 ships and boats;
- 2240 vehicles and tank trucks;
- 48 special technique.
