“I've been proposing to meet in Davos for several days now”: Fico complained to Scholz about Zelensky Nadezhda Batyuk

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico held a conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. In it, he again complained about the Ukrainian government.

In a telephone conversation with the German Chancellor, Fico said that the suspension of gas transit from Russia through Ukraine allegedly harms Slovakia and damages Europe. This was reported by 24 Kanal with reference to Robert Fico.

What Fico said about Zelensky

The Prime Minister of Slovakia once again threatened to take measures against Ukraine in response. At the same time, he invited Zelensky to meet in Davos on January 21, where the World Economic Forum will be held. However, according to Fico, the President of Ukraine has not yet responded to the offer.

Apart from the children's invitation to Kyiv, Zelensky has not yet responded to this offer. Our meeting in Davos can reveal the future of Slovak-Ukrainian relations, Fico adds.

He also criticized the visit to Ukraine of representatives of the Slovak opposition and said that they “blindly and uncritically take the side of the Ukrainian side and give preference to Ukrainian interests over Slovak ones.”

Note that on January 13, the Slovak Prime Minister invited Zelensky to meet at the border to hold talks on gas transit to Slovakia. The Ukrainian president responded to Fico's offer and invited him to come to Kyiv on January 17.

However, Bratislava did not agree to this offer. In particular, Vice Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gaspar called Fico's visit to the Ukrainian capital impossible.
