It's time to switch to Ukrainian content

The time has come/Channel 24

I am glad to welcome the ban at the legislative level of Russian content – songs, Russian performances artists and the distribution of Russian books.

It's high time

Relevant bills No. 7273-d and No. 7459 were adopted as a whole during today's meeting of the Verkhovna Rada. It was decided to ban the public performance of Russian songs and their use on radio and television.

People's deputies also supported a ban on the import of publishing products from Russia and Belarus, the publication and sale of books authored by Russian citizens in Ukraine and supported the promotion development of Ukrainian book publishing and book distribution.

Law No. 6287 was also adopted on stimulating the development of Ukrainian book publishing and book distribution.

From Music to Libraries

The war proved that long ago it's time to switch to Ukrainian-language content. And this should be enshrined at the legislative level. Thanks to everyone who supported these decisions. We must replace Russian content with Ukrainian content at all levels, from music to libraries.

Ukrainian content is gaining momentum. We already see the popularity of Ukrainian content and language on the example of YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, we just hear it on the streets, on the radio.

The decisions taken are designed to help Ukrainian authors share quality content with the widest audience that, after the Russian invasion does not physically perceive any Russian creative product.
