It's time for Grandpa Biden to take a personal look at another Ukraine

by alex

EU leaders have testified their allegiance to Ukraine, now it's Biden's turn/Office of the President of Ukraine

Judging by the public statements of Macron, Scholz, Draghi and Johannis, the visit to Ukraine of the heads of four EU countries was quite successful for us. “Zrada” did not happen. On the contrary, the statements of the European guests met our interests.

Europe has begun to see clearly

Of course, we still need to wait for the completion of consideration of the issue of granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership, then we will do conclusions.

But the preliminary conclusion is positive – visits to Kyiv, and also, especially to Irpen and Bucha, influence our partners in the right way.

They begin to perceive the war of Russia against Ukraine more sensitively and realistically.

< h3>What about the US

In this context, a very topical question arises – our foreign policy bloc needs to concentrate on convincing American friends of the need for US President Joe Biden to come to Kyiv.

And then very mixed news comes from the USA. Then CNN says (with reference to anonymous sources in Western intelligence) that there are only three scenarios for the further development of the war in Ukraine, and for some reason there is no scenario positive for Ukraine among them.

Thus, NBC News reports that US President Joe Biden called on Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin after a visit to Kyiv to soften the rhetoric of support for Ukraine up to its victory over Russia. Allegedly, the President of the United States expressed concern that such words could set unrealistic expectations and increase the risks of drawing Washington into a direct conflict with Moscow.

In general, President Joe Biden increasingly reminds me of a mild and moderate version of Chancellor Scholz. The statements are correct and even radical, but political decisions do not always correspond to harsh instructions. Although the US leader has much more right decisions for us than the head of the German government, Biden has the same fears of Putin as Scholz.

New Ukraine

It's time for Grandpa Biden to look at another Ukraine. Not to what he visited during his vice presidency, but to Ukraine, which bravely and desperately defends itself and the democratic values of the Western world from the invasion of imperial and dictatorial Russia. You need to look at the realities of the war with your own eyes.

It makes sense to feel the courage of Ukrainians and recharge them for a more powerful opposition to Russian aggression. Putin's Russia can be defeated and should not be feared. But this requires proper weapons and ammunition in the right quantities.

It is clear that American intelligence agencies have warnings on security issues. But Kyiv has already been visited by all influential European leaders and, in general, most of the leaders of European countries. And there were no security problems.

After all, you can remember John F. Kennedy, who was not afraid to fly to West Berlin in June 1963. To stay in history, you have to be brave. That is what we wish all our international partners.
