In a conversation with 24 Channel, Uriel Epstein, executive director of the Renew Democracy Initiative, and Yuri Rashkin, a public and political figure from the United States and a member of the Rock County Department of Wisconsin, shared their thoughts on the threat of nuclear and world war.

Putin is afraid of losing his life

Donald Trump said that if he wins the elections in the United States, he will be able to prevent the outbreak of World War III. Meanwhile, Russia continues its threats of a nuclear war, which will undoubtedly lead to a world war.

Every time Russia sees that nuclear threats work, they will use them more and more. Reducing the risk of World War III means showing strength. The more – the less Russia will use nuclear threats, – Uriel Epstein is convinced.

Vladimir Putin has been continuously talking about the so-called “red lines” since the beginning of the full-scale war. The West stepped over them one after another, in particular, supplying Ukraine with weapons, not seeing the consequences that the Russian dictator threatened.

“According to Putin, the war began because of “NATO expansion.” But when NATO really expanded with the entry of Sweden and Finland, and Russia's border with NATO doubled, Putin said that it did not concern him. He was silent because he could not do anything. Putin is a very rich man, all his generals are millionaires. They do not want to lose lives. They understand that the use of nuclear weapons is the end, this is World War III and they will also die,” Epstein emphasized.

The Ukrainian partners need to understand this too. Russian:Russian threats of nuclear weapons are just words – they will not dare to act.

“Trump says that only he can stop World War III – I do not believe it at all. Moreover, if Trump becomes president and does what he says now, then the likelihood of World War III will only increase,” Epstein noted.

US politician Yuri Rashkin is convinced of a slightly different thing.

Trump is an agent of chaos. He is a man who will at least give Putin a feeling that he can do whatever he wants. I think there will be a nuclear war, it's pretty obvious. The question is how did we reach a nuclear war? Or because Putin turned out to be crazier than we thought, or what. But this doesn't mean that we should be afraid of him – we should fight him, – emphasized Yuri Rashkin.

Donald Trump is betting on dictatorial countries during the election race. He scares Americans with a nuclear war, crazy leaders of countries and convinces them that, supposedly, only he can come to an agreement with them.
