On February 20, US President Joe Biden arrived in Kyiv. He met with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
During negotiations with Zelensky, Biden said that he was pleased to return to Kyiv. Arriving in the capital, he was met by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
Biden is happy to see Zelensky
The US President arrived in Kiev at 8 am. “It's nice to be back in Kiev” Biden said when he arrived in the capital. He was greeted by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
Biden's cortege arrived at the Mariinsky Palace after 8:30. At the entrance, the American leader was met by Vladimir Zelensky and his wife Elena.
“Thank you for coming”,Zelensky said, shaking hands with Biden. To which the American leader replied:“It's incredible to see you.”
Biden noted that this is his eighth visit to Kiev.

For the last time, the President of the United States visited Ukraine back in 2008 – it was George W. Bush.
First, Bild journalist Yulian Repke tweeted about Biden's visit to Kiev. Also, Russian oppositionist Mark Feigin wrote about the trip of the US leader to Ukraine. In the end, Biden arrived in Kyiv.
New US aid to Ukraine
The US President announced a new supply of critical equipment to Ukraine. The aid package will include: artillery ammunition, anti-tank systems and air surveillance radars to protect our people from aerial bombardment.
Also this week, the US will announce additional sanctions against Russian elites and companies.
