President Volodymyr Zelensky described his emotions when he visited Bucha, where the Russian military tortured and brutally killed Ukrainians. He said that he felt anger.
Zelensky: This is anger at the fact that we do not know with whom we live
The head of state shared his emotions after visiting Bucha in interview with the American television channel CBS. Zelensky said he felt angry because “we don’t know who we live with.”
The President said that at such moments you realize that you don’t fully understand the world. In particular, Zelensky does not understand how there are people who can give such brutal orders as the Russians during the occupation of Bucha.
This is anger! This is anger at the fact that we do not know who we live with. We do not know who is around us. You understand that you do not fully understand this world… That there are people on this planet who give such orders. And there are people who do it. That they are around us,” he said.
Zelensky noted that, given the many civilians killed in Bucha, “there are a lot of such people.”
According to him, at such moments you feel anger at God and people. Also, the president does not understand the reason for the hatred of Russians for Ukrainians.
“Why? Is it really possible? What is a person or people supposed to do that they just want to destroy you?” he concluded.
