How demotivated the Russian army is and whether those mobilized from the so-called “LDNR” are really fighting against Ukraine. Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar spoke about this.
How the Russian army is demotivated
Anna Malyar said that the Russian military is demotivated because of the number of their own losses. We did our best to ensure that this information was conveyed to the Russians as much as possible. “Our information troops work well here,” said Malyar.
According to her, the terrible attitude towards their own victims also has an impact, because even their dead soldiers are not taken away.
This is a problem for us, too, because in some areas we are talking about an ecological catastrophe. There are still a large number of bodies with which certain biological processes are taking place, – said Anna Malyar.
“What we were able to collect, we properly document, in accordance with international law, store and ask to be taken away. They do not take them away, moreover, they hide this information from the relatives of the victims, so as not to escalate panic and, possibly, not pay financial assistance, “added Malyara.
The Deputy Minister of Defense emphasized that such an attitude is very demotivating. This is also indicated by a serious problem with conscription and mobilization. After all, the Russian authorities cannot even fulfill half of their plan.
Mobilization in the so-called “LPR”
Anna Malyar explained that there are two groups of military men there:
- The first is the contract soldiers who have been fighting all these eight years and are now fighting professionally.
- The second is only the mobilized, of whom there are about 20 thousand today.
“We must understand that an illegal armed formation has been formed there over the years. These people, even without experience, are fighting against Ukraine. Such things hurt not only the military, but every Ukrainian, because these are people who had Ukrainian passports” . This is our tragedy, I think,” added Anna Malyar.
The latest news about the occupied territories
- The Russian occupiers in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the militants of ORDLO began to promise that the sub-republics created by the Kremlin will soon “become part of Russia.” It is likely that Putin will announce this on May 9.
