“It’s a shame”: a Ukrainophobe deputy in the Polish Senate extinguished the Hanukkah menorah with a fire extinguisher

A scandal occurred in the Polish Sejm on December 12th. Thus, Grzegorz Braun, a deputy of the Ukrainian-phobic Confederation party, grabbed a fire extinguisher and extinguished the Hanukkah menorah.

“Based on Article 175, paragraph 5, I decide to expel you from the Sejm meeting. According to the rules of the Sejm, I ask you to leave the meeting room,” I addressed Grzegorz Braun Gołowna.

Speaking to journalists, Golovnya noted that Brown grossly violated public order on the territory of the Sejm Chancellery. This means that the Presidium of the Sejm can meet to accept financial punishment for the deputy.

Golovnya also expressed “deep regret about what happened.” He added that a complaint would be filed against Brown with the prosecutor’s office . Probably under an article providing for violation of religious rites.
