On Friday, January 27, vandals attacked Italian diplomatic properties in Italy and Spain. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Italy.
Details of the incident
Giorgia Maloney reported that the car of diplomat Luigi Estero was set on fire in Berlin. The Italian consulate in Barcelona was also subjected to an act of vandalism – a window was broken there and the walls of the entrance to the building were covered with plaster.
There were no reports of casualties. Maloney said the Italian government is “watching these new incidents of violence against our employees and diplomatic missions with concern and attention.”
Media reports that vandalism committed at the Italian Consulate General in Barcelona is believed to be the work of five people in hoods. The Catalan police did not confirm this information, noting that “an investigation is underway.”
Intelligence is working on the hypothesis that these acts of vandalism are connected to anarchist groups that have stepped up this week in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, imprisoned on terrorism charges and applying article 41 bis of the prison regime to him. Therefore, the anarchist went on a hunger strike.
On January 27 and 28, terrorist attacks thundered in Israel

- Already on January 28, another shooting took place in Jerusalem. Two men received gunshot wounds. Shot in the archaeological park “City of David”. Two men were injured. The attacker was neutralized. According to journalists, he is allegedly 13 years old.
