Viktor Medvedchuk was detained on April 12/Volodymyr Zelensky's telegram channel
As a result of the operation, the SBU managed to detain Viktor Medvedchuk, suspected of treason. Adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vadim Denisenko believes that Medvedchuk should first be convicted, and only then exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners.
In his nightly address to the Ukrainians, President Zelensky suggested exchanging Medvedchuk for prisoners. Denisenko stressed that he is for bringing our military back home.
Medvedchuk must give certain evidence
When we talk about Medvedchuk, in fact, it would be right to do 2 things: at least for him to give certain evidence, because he has a huge amount of information about who and to whom gave money for the movement of collaborators. As a maximum, it was ideal to hold a trial as soon as possible,” Denisenko explained.
Only after that, if possible, should Medvedchuk be exchanged. Denisenko noted that if there is a chance to get back our prisoners, then it is worth exchanging even the detained leader of the Opposition Platform for Life for them. However, this should be done when he gives up “passwords and appearances”.
