The weather in Ukraine will take on autumnal tones this weekend, and in the first ten days of October, residents of the western regions will feel a noticeable cold snap, but forecasters are not yet predicting frost.
Facts of ICTV were told in detail about the weather on the last weekend of September and the beginning of October by a forecaster from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Natalia Ptukha.
Weather in Ukraine for the weekend — September 28 and 29
— The weather forecast will change over the weekend. And it is from Sunday that most regions will feel the autumn flavor of the weather, especially the western and northern regions, while the southern and eastern regions will still have summer weather, — says Natalia Ptukha.
Such a contrasting picture on the territory of Ukraine, according to her, is caused primarily by the atmospheric front from Northern Europe, which causes the flow of cold air masses to the western and northern regions.

— On Saturday, September 28, moderate rains, in places significant. Mostly significant — this is Lviv region and Zakarpattia. On Sunday, the rains will not stop either, — noted the weather forecaster.
The temperature on the weekend, as Ptukha says, will differ depending on how the atmospheric front will pass.
If on Saturday night it is still +13-18°C, and during the day in most regions +23°C and even +29°C, that is, it will still be quite hot, even in the western regions +19-25°C during the day, then already on Sunday the weather forecaster predicts a noticeable cold snap in the West, as well as in the Zhytomyr region.
— There, in general, the temperature during the day is from +9°C to +14°C. Here is such a sharp contrast — almost 10 degrees lower compared to Saturday. It will be a little warmer in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Chernihiv regions. During the daytime on Sunday +18-23°C, — she explained.
During the passage of the atmospheric front, the northern wind will prevail in the western regions, with a speed of 7-12 m/s. And on the 29th, in the West and North, in places, gusts of up to 15-20 m/s will occur, and in the Carpathians even higher.

Weather forecast for Monday, 30 September
At the beginning of the week, the atmospheric front will gradually lose its strength, so in the West and North, in some places, light rain is still possible, and in the highlands of the Carpathians ( And only there) on the night of September 30 wet snow is possible.
In general there will be less precipitation, however the high pressure field will not dominate for long, and already at the end of next week an atmospheric front with rain may come again.
Ptukha says that on Monday in the western part of Ukraine it will be noticeably colder: at night only +2-9° C, daytime +9-14°C.
However, in the rest of the territory it is still relatively warm (mainly the South, Center and East) — during the daytime hours +20-25°C. In the northern regions +14-19°C.
Weather for the first ten days of October 2024
— The first ten days of October in the western regions will be cooler, even slightly below the climatic norm for this month. At the same time, in the South and East, on the contrary, — 1-1.5 degrees above normal, — says Ptukha.
As for the central regions, Kiev region and partially northern regions, here, as she noted, it will be close to the climatic norm for October.
The weather forecaster assured that there is no talk of frosts during this period.

— If we talk about the beginning of October — the 1st, 2nd, 3rd — are precipitation-free. The temperature in the western and northern regions at night is +4-9°C, that is, it is not frost, but during the day +13-18°C, — she notes.
In the southern and eastern regions, +7-12°C is expected at night, and up to +20-25°C during the day.
— And on October 4 at night in the western and northern regions, and during the day in Ukraine, except for the South — rain, — predicts Ptukha.
On this day in the West and North at night +5-11°C, during the day +11-16°C, in the South and East of the country +18-23°C.
On October 5-7 dry weather will prevail, only on October 6 in Transcarpathia, and on October 7 in the western regions light rains. At night, +4-9°C is expected, during the day up to +13-18°C.
In general, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center predicts the average monthly air temperature in October at +7-13°C, which is 1-1.5° higher than normal.
