President Vladimir Zelensky called on international partners to move quickly to create a legal framework for directing frozen Russian assets to the reconstruction of Ukraine.

At the end of December, the Financial Times wrote that the United States proposed working groups of G7 countries to study ways to confiscate frozen $300 billion of Russian assets.

According to the publication, they want to have proposals ready for the planned meeting of G7 leaders closer to February 24 — to the second anniversary of Russia's attack on Ukraine.
