The Russian military does not give up its primary goal – the capture of the entire territory of Ukraine. We should not rule out a possible threat of a new enemy attack on Kyiv.
At the same time, Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, hastened to reassure the Ukrainians. According to him, it is not observed that the Russians are ready to go on the offensive against Kyiv. Moreover, he explained how it could end for the enemy.
There are no real signs of the onset
With these words, he answered the journalist's question whether there is a threat in the North. According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the department does not know about such plans of the enemy. Moreover, “no real signs of this exist.”
Perhaps when they get certain defeats, they will look for a quick solution, but it will be a disaster for them. Another one, about the same as it was then, – he emphasized.
Note that in the same interview, Kirill Budanov suggested whether we should expect a “war for a decade.” Like, Russia will offer a truce and freeze hostilities at the stage where they are now.

- The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry stressed that Ukraine would not agree to a “deep and long-term” truce. He stressed that this is simply not possible. And this will not happen, the head of Ukrainian intelligence categorically noted this.
- As for a protracted war, according to Budanov, the aggressor country itself is not interested in it. He stressed that “Russia is not ready for long-term military operations.”
- Kirill Budanov noticed that the enemy can say whatever he pleases. At the same time , the Russians themselves have rather limited resources. Moreover, we are talking about both time and volume of support. And this, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense emphasizes, the occupiers are well aware of.
- At the same time, we should expect even more active hostilities in the next three months. Budanov clarified that this period of time will not be decisive. But the further course of events at the front will definitely depend on him. And during this period, we should expect dynamics from both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the enemy.
- If the fighting will only be more active, then the statistics of losses will grow. Recall that as of the morning of March 1, 149,890 Russian invaders had already been eliminated. And over the past day, 650 invaders joined the ranks of the “200th”.
