Zelensky addressed the Seimas of Lithuania/Office of the President
President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Seimas of Lithuania on April 12. He thanked for the help and the rejection of Russian energy resources
Zelensky stressed that there are countries that want to wait out the sanctions and then continue to trade with Russia. In particular, energy resources, Channel 24 reports.
I am grateful to you for taking the lead in refusing their energy carriers when it is really needed. I am grateful to you, Gitanas (President of Lithuania – Channel 24), for an important decision. For being the first to give us real help: weapons, stingers and so on. It was a historic manifestation of leadership,” Zelensky said.
The President stressed that the Lithuanian people, like no one else, understand how Russian occupiers can destroy freedom and at what cost then independence is restored.
“This is exactly the kind of leadership that the whole continent needs now. To really affirm the values that are indisputably important for Europe. To prove that the common values of freedom and human rights are actually alive, and not outdated,” Zelensky stressed.
