The invaders carefully planned the attack
Podolyak noted that the Russian invaders had dozens of targets at once. As a result of their terrorist attacks, more than 16 cities were affected. The invaders needed to strike in several waves.

According to him, the invaders sometimes cannot synchronize strikes on 2-3 targets, and on October 10 they had more than 50 targets at the same time. Therefore, they had to carefully calculate this attack mathematically.
“Of course, they did not achieve the effect that the Russian Federation expected. But with all that, the strike showed careful planning of what was happening today in key cities, in regional centers of Ukraine,” the official added.
Russia wanted to kill more people
According to Podolyak, Russia wanted to inflict much more damage on civilian infrastructure, especially in city centers. In addition, the occupiers sought to increase the number of victims and wounded as well.
“That is, it seems to me that some blows were delivered (for more victims – channel 24), for example, on the playground, which is located in front of Shevchenko University. According to him, the invaders need a large number of victims to increase panic among Ukrainians. “We believe that today's strike across the country will solve several issues. It showed that Russia does not have precision-guided weapons, but still has a large number of these old Soviet missiles, which are absolutely inaccurate, however (she has them – channel 24) a large number,” the official said.
He summed up that this massive strike would also allow Ukraine to expedite negotiations with Western partners on the provision of air defense systems. In addition, by shelling, Russia has recorded its inability to effectively resist the counter-offensive actions of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield. Therefore, she tried to move the war into a classic, legally formalized terrorist act called “We are attacking precisely civilian infrastructure and city centers.”
