The anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine has passed, as Putin acknowledged the losses in the ranks of his FSB, which also “works” in the territories temporarily occupied by Russia. He did not forget to thank the employees of the service for “fighting extremism” and give instructions.
The Russian leader made such statements at the beginning of the expanded meeting of the FSB board. He also added that the leadership of the FSB “should do everything to provide additional support to the families of the fallen brothers.” This was reported on the website of Putin. 24 Channel .
The Tsar praised the FSB for its work during the war
At the meeting, Putin said that 2022 was “special for the whole country” and for the FSB, and also noted the merits of this service.
The FSB units were directly involved in the military special operation (the war in Ukraine – Channel 24), they solved complex, non-standard operational tasks here, covered the state border, actively fought against terrorism, organized crime, corruption and extremism,” he said.
For these “brilliant” achievements, he thanked the management and employees of the department. Separately, he noted those who “acted in the liberated territories,” that is, they pushed their way into Ukraine with weapons.
Service priorities for 2023 identified
In addition to praise, the Russian dictator apparently tried to raise the morale of his pawns and called for “further struggle” against a demonized external enemy, a convenient composite image for the consolidation of Russian society.
I did not forget to add loud epithets to my speech. Yes, among the appeals to the FSB workers there was a need:
- keep the Russian-Ukrainian border under special control,
- put “barriers for sabotage groups” on this border,
- monitor the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex,
- stop attempts to “activate all this abomination” that “is trying to split Russian society.”
It is necessary to identify and stop the illegal activities of those who are trying to split and weaken our society, using separatism, nationalism, neo-Nazism and xenophobia as weapons. This has also always been applied to our country, and now the attempts are, of course, the most active. Attempts to activate all this abomination on our land,” Putin stressed.
The Russian leader set such tasks because of the ongoing “toughening of the terrorist threat in Russia, which is associated with the actions of Kyiv and the West.”
