Russia would like to resolve the conflict not only in Ukraine/Getty Images
Russia would like to start a conflict in territories other than Ukraine. In particular, the aggressor country is constantly trying to undermine the situation in 2 more directions.
Alexander Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, spoke about this on the air of Channel 24.
According to him, the first direction is Poland and the Baltic countries. Now Sweden and Finland have been added to them.
The second direction is the Balkans. There, the Russian authorities are trying to use their influence to permanently destabilize the situation.
Russia will not calm down in any way that it could not keep Montenegro from moving to the West. Now, almost with some frequency, the Russian ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina repeats: if Bosnia decides to move towards NATO, then there can be very serious consequences. This is also one of the directions.

As the military expert noted, if Russia succeeded in the war against Ukraine, it could be tempted to aggression against one of the NATO countries. However, the question is whether it would have had enough resources for this.
Musienko also noted that the Kremlin only leads to bad results with its awkward military-political policy. For example, if earlier Russia and Finland had pretty good relations, now everything is broken.
