Natalya Popova on the shelling of Kharkov and the region/Collage of Channel 24
Russian invaders once again tried to strike at Kharkov on July 13, but the missile of the S-300 complex was shot down over the city by air defense forces. Investigators have published photos that, along with other materials, will be transferred to the relevant structures and to the Magistrate's Court. >Natalya Popova, adviser to the head of the Kharkiv OVA, told Channel 24 about this. She added that today it is a relatively calm day in Kharkov, and none of the civilians were injured.
Yesterday, unfortunately, the situation was different. As a result of enemy strikes, 5 people were injured in Kharkov and 5 more in the region. We are talking about residents of areas that the Russians shelled daily, in particular, Chuguevsky and Bogodukhovsky. Also, as a result of the shelling, 1 civilian was killed.
Natalya Popova also said that, first of all, the inhabitants of the Kharkiv region suffer as a result of the blows that the Russians inflict from multiple launch rocket systems. If we talk about “Grads”, which used to “cover” all districts of Kharkov and practically destroyed Saltovka, now, thanks to the efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they do not reach the city. Ukrainian defenders pushed them back from the borders of Kharkiv.
It’s not worth returning yet
“I once again appeal to Kharkiv residents and residents of the region to installed the Alert app, because in addition to the air raid warning, it also warns of the threat of artillery shelling,” the adviser to the head of the UVA called.
Also, for everyone who would like to return to the city or perhaps before has not yet left there, she stressed that currently Kharkiv is not a safe city. This is especially true for children, women and the elderly.
When it becomes safe, I am sure that the leadership of the country and the region will tell Kharkiv residents that the moment has come when they should return, Popova assured.
