Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis warns that his country could be one of the first NATO members to be attacked by Putin.
He said this in an interview with ZDF.
According to him, Lithuania may well turn out to be the second Pearl Harbor for NATO (in 1941, Japanese aircraft and submarine fleet suddenly attacked the American naval and air bases located in the vicinity of Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu).

Gabrielius Landsbergis said that the government of his country pays great attention to the situation at the front in Ukraine. He believes that Ukraine needs to continue to supply ammunition and weapons, including new systems. And then Ukraine will be able not only to stop the Russian army, but also to throw it back.
— If we don't supply weapons, it's doubtful that Russia can be stopped at all. And where does it stop? And this is what all the countries on the eastern flank are thinking about. If Russia is not stopped by Ukraine, the war could spread. Then he (Putin, – Ed.) will be able to attack us, says the Lithuanian Foreign Minister.
According to him, the biggest problem now is that it is not known how much time there is before the Russian attack.
Lithuania hopes that Ukraine will be able to stop Russian troops on its territory — far, thousands of kilometers from Germany or Lithuania.
— But the reality is that Russia can mobilize another 400 thousand troops. They are building new tanks and new weapons. We have a very aggressive neighbor who wants to test NATO. We must prepare for this, noted Gabrielius Landsbergis.
He also emphatically stated that we cannot wait until a European country is actually attacked by Russia. European security is interconnected: if Lithuania is in danger, then so are other parts of Europe.
