A terrible humanitarian situation has developed in the occupied territory of the Luhansk region. Forced to evacuate people, having temporarily returned, they cannot live there even for a week.
This Channel 24 was told by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Gaidai. According to him, it is simply unrealistic to restore such a huge territory, which was destroyed within 5 months.

Gaidai noted that the humanitarian situation in the occupied territory of the Luhansk region, where the active phase of hostilities took place, is terrible.
Without exaggeration. She's terrible. Somewhere the occupiers are trying to make demonstrative gas pipelines. But these are 2 – 4 houses, no more. They cannot raise water, because they themselves have destroyed the water supply infrastructure,” said the chairman of the Luhansk OVA.
According to him, the occupiers will also not be able to make a sewer, because they have been shooting at it for almost 5 months. With gas, the situation is similar – the invaders are supplying main pipes, but they will not be able to distribute it to all the houses.
He noted that the promised restoration of houses is not there either. And the Azot enterprise, whose work was promised to be resumed, is probably now more likely to be simply cut into scrap metal.
“People cannot live there for more than a week”
Gaidai noticed that those people who were forced to leave for evacuation are temporarily returning to simply pick up some of their things or see what is happening there.< /p>
They can't live there for over a week. Because there is no water, no gas, no electricity in the normal sense, – said Gaidai.
Therefore, added the head of the Luhansk OVA, these people are leaving. And those who nevertheless decided to stay in the cities are now looking for some acquaintances or relatives. Or they may even just find empty private houses in the countryside in order to move there and spend the winter heating with stoves, wood or coal.
According to him, the occupiers cannot restore such a vast territory, destroyed within 5 months, as well as bombed all critical infrastructure, even if they have unlimited money.
