The Russians are now going on an active offensive, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are performing defensive actions. The long-awaited counter-offensive of our warriors may soon begin, but this does not depend on the weather.
First of all, it is necessary to build on the current situation on the battlefield, as well as how effectively the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to break the combat potential of the enemy. Andrey Kramarov, a military expert, told Channel 24 about this.
What determines the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
So, now heavy fighting continues not only in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, but also to the north – in the direction of Svatovo – Kremennaya. There, the Russian invaders began to move from combat checks to active assault operations on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the terrain in this area allows our defenders to defend well.
I would tie the issue of our counteroffensive not to weather conditions, but first of all to how quickly we will exhaust the combat potential of our enemy and how effectively we can now defend and defeat him. Perhaps we will be able to do the same as in the Kharkiv region,” the military expert noted.
He explained that at that time the invaders also tried to attack, but were driven out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to the fact that they did not have normal defensive fortifications. At the same time, the situation is somewhat different now.

Both our fighters and the Russians have systems of fortifications in this area. So even if the Ukrainian defenders significantly reduce the combat potential of the enemy, there is a possibility that there will not be such a swift counteroffensive as in the Kharkiv region. However, our command can find room for effective maneuver.
