It is known that among the dead were 3 girls and 1 boy. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General on June 17.

Four more children died in Mariupol

During the recording of criminal offenses, it became known about the death of 2 more girls of 12 years old and a boy and a girl of 5 years old as a result of shelling by Russian troops of Mariupol, Donetsk region, the report says.

New children's losses in Mariupol were recorded in the period from March to May.

From February 24 to June 17, 2022, more than 900 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 322 children have already died at the hands of Russian invaders and more than 581 have been injured. The numbers can be much higher, because they are not final. It is impossible to know the exact number of child victims, because in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, it is extremely difficult to find out the statistics.

  • Kyiv region – 116;
  • Chernihiv – 68;
  • Luhansk – 54;
  • Kherson – 52;
  • Nikolaev – 48;
  • Zaporozhye – 30;
  • Sumy – 17.

Due to the bombing and shelling of Russia, many educational institutions were damaged. There are 2028 of them. Of these, 209 establishments were completely destroyed.
