Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has sent a letter to his French counterpart Stéphane Sejourné, in which he warned of possible terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games.

In the letter, the head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry noted that “someone is trying to prevent the celebration of this joyful event”, referring to the Olympics in Paris.
“We currently have assessments of potential threats from Iranian terrorist groups and other terrorist organizations aimed at carrying out terrorist attacks against members of the Israeli delegation and Israeli tourists during the Olympic Games,” Katz wrote.
Strengthening security during the 2024 Olympics
Note that France has introduced an expanded security system security to ensure the safety of the Olympic Games, which run from July 26 to August 11.
All Israeli athletes who will participate in the Olympic Games will receive 24-hour personal security.
Elite French police will provide security for the athletes both inside the Olympic Village and when they leave the complex, located in northern Paris.
