On Sunday, on the eve of the anniversary of the October 7 attacks, Israel struck targets in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. This happened against the backdrop of an escalation in the conflict, as the head of the Israeli Defense Ministry said that “all options for revenge are open” in the standoff with Iran.

Reuters writes about this.

Israel struck Lebanon and the Gaza Strip

On Sunday evening, Hezbollah militants launched rockets at Israel. According to police, the rockets missed Israeli air defense systems and hit Haifa, Israel's third-largest city.

The publication writes that buildings were damaged as a result of the strikes. Israeli media also reported that 10 people were injured in rocket attacks on Haifa and the city of Tiberias.

Hezbollah said it attacked a military target south of Haifa with a salvo of Fadi-1 rockets.

According to Reuters, Israeli aircraft struck the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sunday in the heaviest bombing campaign on the Lebanese capital since Israel sharply stepped up its campaign against the Iran-backed Hezbollah group last month.

The publication indicated that the Israeli military said fighter jets hit targets in Beirut belonging to Hezbollah intelligence headquarters and weapons storage sites. It is noted that the strikes were also directed against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region.
